Achievements
- Responsible for the University core software license budget (over £100,000).
- Management of a full time designer and two part time programmers providing web development and consultation for university departments, affiliated institutions, and the Computing Service’s publishing group, including:
- Development of the RSC South-East website: new branding, design, content structure, and a specially tailored content management system. The design is now used on RSC documentation, was praised at national executive level, and is under consideration as an RSC wide template.
- Development of the Canterbury Enterprise Hub: re-design, branding, and new content structure - extensively praised by the executive committee.
- New designs, site structures, and content, produced within one month, for a Universities of Medway intranet home page and Drill Hall Library website.
- Consultation and development of the English Critical practice website.
- Consultation and planning for the proposed development of a new Sports Centre template, design, and virtual tours (360° photography, videos, still photos, and an upload, update, and modify tour facility).
- Further development of the Online Helpdesk with a new java based administration interface allowing the entry of FAQs into a MySQL database, configuration and streamlining of the search facility, and the addition and maintenance of quick links.
- Provided consultation on the PLPP project which is investigating and implementing U-Portal.
- Management of three full time staff implementing departmental quality assurance procedures, user disciplinary procedures, monitoring departmental performance statistics, and managing University software license information.
